General workshop description
Each year, CAMP project coordinators present a series of informational programs at various locations across the state. These programs are open to the public and are designed for general audiences, including children and adults interested in learning more about Connecticut’s amphibians. Program topics include, a look at the natural history and diversity of Connecticut’s native frogs, toads and salamanders, global, regional and local conservation issues surrounding amphibians, an introduction to CAMP and amphibian monitoring programs, and opportunities for volunteers to become involved in CAMP. Programs generally include a slide presentation, frog and toad call activities, and a chance to observe live specimens or opportunities to explore amphibian habitats in the field.
